About Pladitor

Pladitor is a PlantUML diagram editor for out-of-the-box creating, editing, and sharing diagrams. It is available for Windows and Mac.

The powerful editor provides syntax and line highlighting, auto-completion, various shortcuts, and syntax-error feedback. Multiple diagrams can be kept open and edited at the same time. You get on-the-fly previews of the diagram.

The preview allows for image-to-code navigation via double-click. It can be zoomed and panned and offers fit-to-screen capability.

The built-in gallery provides a huge range of diagram templates for all kinds of diagram types. You can create your custom diagram templates for later re-use in your next diagram.

Pladitor can import the diagram code from PNG and SVG images that were generated with PlantUML. The diagrams can be exported as PNG, PDF, SVG, or EPS image, as ASCII art, or as URL.

Whether you need a flowchart, a mind map, a UML diagram, or a network diagram, you can find a suitable template that suits your needs.
  • Easy to Browse: The Template Gallery is designed to make it easy for users to find the right template quickly. The templates are organized into categories, such as C4 Modelling, Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Gantt Charts, etc.
  • Custom Templates: Users can create and store their own templates to make reuse easy.

Adapt it to your needs

Pladitor offers configuration possibilities to adapt to your needs:

  • Choose between light or dark theme mode. You can choose between a growing set of languages for the user-interface.
  • Choose between English, German, French, and Spanish for the user interface language.
  • Set the font size of the editor and default visibility of the PlantUML Guides view.
  • Work with or without word wrapping.
  • Set an optional custom PlantUML server. Per default, Pladitor uses the Pladitor PlantUML server. You can choose to use other preset servers or even provide the URL of your own PlantUML server instance.
  • Set the format of the preview image. You can choose between PNG and SVG format.
  • Set a custom external URL as quick help option.
